Khula Tech Solutions has a vacancy for a Community Representitive. This is a permanent position, based in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape.

Job Summary

Mission Statement for the Role:

Ensuring acquisition of new Distribution points (DPs), MTU buildings, partnerships, businesses and managing them within the assigned network.

Overall Responsibility: Manage the subtle dynamics within the community you operate, understanding relationships and influencing the successful operation of the Khula Tech Solutions service in the region.
Financial: None direct, ensuring all landlord payments are on time and provide 100% uptime
Key SMART Results for A-Player Success

  • Ensure successful negotiation (within the constraints set by the company), acquisition and contracting of a minimum of 60 buildings per month in your assigned network for successful deployment of our network, towers and DP’s ensuring the best value commercial deals for the business at all times both for the supplier and customer side.
  • Ensure that all major ‘Tuckshops’ in a community are identified and known in person and have had documented conversations with all about the wholesale provision of capacity to them.
  • Identify community group provision of services (e.g. free internet to Schools) in place with the relevant parties. Ensure Khula Tech Solutions has a number of community organizations in place and installed with Khula Tech Solutions services as directed by the Head of Sales & Distribution.
  • Understand and communicate through a weekly report, the “informal community dynamics” by getting deep into each community and their leaders and understanding the challenges and opportunities for Khula Tech Solutions.
  • Achieve zero conflicts and misunderstanding with the communities we serve and other third parties by ensuring 100% compliance to the written down community engagement processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all contractual documentation and validation of acquired buildings and partnerships e.g. with the ‘Tuckshops’ guys, communities are in place and up to date.
  • Work collaboratively in events, monitoring and building relationships with community stakeholders and influencers within the assigned network.
  • Ensure the lowest cost per tower commercial deals for deployments of the network within the assigned territory.
  • Manage clear communication channels with all landlords across the assigned networks.
  • Achieve zero network downtime as a result of community-related reasons e.g. building running out of tokens for power etc.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to identify emerging markets and market shifts in new areas while being fully aware of competition status and sharing feedback on the same so that Khula Tech Solutions! can competitively position itself.

  • Be a self-starter capable of taking on a role with minimal supervision and guidance and delivering them through to a successful conclusion.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Knowledgeable in how local authority, government and communities run their affairs with an appreciation of minimum legal requirements affecting relationships of the role.
  • Good interpersonal relationship ability that will aid the establishment of valuable working relationships with key stakeholders, landlords/caretakers in the assigned market and ability to manage both internal and external communication.
  • Must have worked in fast growing tech services sector with not less than 1 year experience in field sales activities and community related work.
  • Field work experience in operating with informal communities
  • Must have a minimum of a college Diploma and above

Salary range: from R6 000

Responsibilities

  • Achieve an average of above 60 sales per month on a rolling 3-month average
  • Adhere to prescribed inside sales process with zero deviations ensuring the highest industry customer satisfaction rates.
  • Achieve a 100% work attendance record with an absence management that is fully in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Make a minimum of 100 unique calls daily through the company phone system.
  • Ensure all leads allocated to you on Sales Lead Gen Database are contacted within the timelines agreed upon with the Inside Sales Manager and have a corresponding most recent update on the Sales Lead Gen Database with all fields filled.

 

Mandatory Criteria if Any with no exceptions to hire.

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in selling or supporting home internet customers in a busy Telesales / Inside Sales environment
  • Must have owned and delivered on a Sales Number.
  • Must have exceptional customer service, telephone etiquette, communication skills and working knowledge of the latest technology in inside sales (telesales) organization.
